Laozi House is a non-profit association of people who choose for a healthy lifestyle, exploring how movement, sunlight, fresh air, natural remedies and the right food choices can be the best medicine to promote well-being and longevity. You can also experience how we grow our own fruit and vegetables in a natural way. And how to relax and find the right balance in life through Yoga and meditation. Our members can use the convenient facilities any time of the year. Be welcome to join us

We are what we eat. As the nutritional value of food nowadays is reduced by monoculture and toxic chemicals depleting the soil we choose to grow our own organic vegetables as much as possible, and otherwise look for locally grown fresh produce. Our climate allows to grow vegetables all year, and even tropical fruit. You can be involved in the care of the fruit trees and vegetable garden, learn about seeding, planting, irrigation and harvesting methods and join the creation of a food forest. We apply Permaculture principles to improve the soil and contribute to a sustainable planet. More information about our garden here.

We named our association after Laozi (aka Lao Tzu), the author of the Tao Te Ching and the founder of philosophical Taoism. The Japanese Zen tradition has its roots in Taoism as well as Buddhism and our way of life and meditations are inspired by these old traditions, as well as by the 20th century Zen Master Osho who shed an inspiring new light on ancient wisdom and developed meditations for the busy people of our present age.
