Since March of 2020 we aim to be a virus-free community.
We are not self-isolate within our property anymore but we limit contact with the outside world as much as possible in order to maintain a household where we can live together without face masks, social distancing and insecurity.
We continue welcoming new volunteers and members, but not for short visits anymore.
We ask for a minimum of one month commitment participating in the garden work and maintenance of the property.
We offer separate living / kitchen area outside of the main house, where the permanent elder group lives.
We provide accommodation with bedding included, shared shower room / toilets, food for 3 meals a day
access to the Pool and to the West Wing Hall for Yoga and Meditation.
We considerably reduce our risk of infectious diseases by following a healthy lifestyle with vegetarian food, yoga and meditation practices.
This not only protects against virus, also limits and even reverses many other diseases reinforcing our immune system.
1. Among our safety measures:
We stopped inviting guests and visitors for short staying.
Workshops are planned to be starting this spring in the West Wing area,
that will be immediately cleaned after use.
We accept deliveries but avoid close contact with the suppliers.
We sometimes go together to the beach or other outside areas that are well ventilated.
We avoid spaces where we get close to other people, touch them or breathe their air in.
We also avoid touching surfaces that other people touch.
When coming back we wash our hands before touching anything.
2. Hygiene indoors
Please have a tissue at hand when you feel the need to sneeze or cough or blow your nose.
Have it in front of your face and turn away from other people or food dishes.
It also prevents sharing cold and flu viruses. Discard used tissues in a closed garbage bin and wash your hands.
Doorknobs, handles of taps and kitchen and other tools should be cleaned regularly.
Dry things outside in the sun, do not leave dirty and wet things inside.
3. Staying healthy
We eat well and get enough sleep. We reduce stress with exercise and meditations.
Deep breathing techniques keep our lungs in condition, and increases resistance.
Working in the garden gives us healthy movement and exposure to the sun, providing vitamin D.
The sauna temperature of 70 degrees helps to kill the virus, as well as the UV rays in sunlight.
We enjoy every day, we don’t need to worry as long as we observe these rules.
